Hi !

I am Sharalynne, the face behind the camera at Sydney Family Portraits.

Here are some fun facts about me

~ I found (professional) photography later than most, after spending my many Mum years as a Medical Practice Manager. Whilst I loved the varied daily interactions, being a creative is sooo much more fun and rewarding.

~ I spend way more time than I should researching new skills in photography, photoshop, lighting, etc. This gets me out of doing the mundane every day things AND improves my skills...win win !!

~ I am in love with my studio in the Hills District. It has an almost obsessive amount of wraps, backdrops, props, newborn hats and bonnets and anything else necessary (such as custom built lighting) to capture your little ones at their absolute best.

~ I am blessed with a blended family of 5 kids and growing tribe of adorable grandchildren, plus one very handy hubby who fixes and/or builds whatever new project I come up with. Love your work Pete x

~ I have a couple of burmese cats, which in itself doesn't qualify me as a crazy cat lady. However, the amount of beds, toys and cat trees they have could easily push me over the edge.

~ I truly believe that wine, chocolate and cheese deserve their own tiers on 'recommended' food pyramids.

All very interesting I know but I guess what you really want to know is.... can I take beautiful, emotive images of your family and tell a story that will last more than a lifetime and be a treasure ?

Well, the answer is yes, I really can.

So, while I may not always take myself seriously, my work is another story.

Heartfelt is a volunteer organisation of which I am an honoured to be a member. It is dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to families who have experienced the tragedy of losing a child.
